Making Money Online

We all know about the internet and the potential it has…or do we?

When I had my business, we transacted on the internet but it certainly was not our primary lead generator. I thought I knew a lot about what the internet could provide any business, but now I know that was clearly not the case. We used to spend on methods which cost lots of money, but we didn’t know about any of the cheaper and more efficient options.

Things have evolved at such a rapid pace. I started to see various things online that left me saying, “What is that? Never seen it before…” I decided to invest time and money to explore and learn about what is available online.

What an eye opener that journey was and will continue to be, as there is always something new to learn. So many opportunities are available to grow your business, but most people don’t even know they exist.

–           Low value volume sales

–           High ticket, one off sales

–           Residual income – generate a passive income for life

–           Design your own products and get other people to sell it for commissions

All these things are possible, but like anything, if you don’t know how to do it, it remains a mystery. Basically, with the internet the sky is literally the limit. You can easily earn well into a six figure income. It won’t happen overnight, but for anyone who wants to build a business with a very good, sustainable income, I highly recommend it.

One of the great things about the internet is that it is easily scaled, so you can build it as big as you want. If you’re looking to increase sales, buy a franchise or invest in a new venture with limited business experience, put an online business at the top of your list.

Having built and sold my SME, I now work with SMEs. I understand their model by embedding myself in the senior management team so I feel the heartbeat of the business. All areas are covered, but the four questions that we work on solving are: How do I grow my business?, How do I achieve client excellence?, How do I make more profit?, and Does my business model deliver?

Hi Dave,
Really interesting stuff, we are a new company based in Bradford on Avon selling Honey and Honey based facial and skin products, we are hoping to start building top-bar bees hives with the focus on natural bee-keeping and keeping all our products natural. At the moment we sell our products at Wiltshire Farmers Markets and any other local markets we can get on. The internet seems to be the way forward, saying that, if you have no knowledge about it, that can be quite a struggle. Our other problem is getting grants to push our business forward, it’s a nightmare. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Derek

Many thanks for taking the time to comment.
You have obviously tested your product sales and feel that you have a product that you can scale. Your sales figures/ margins should be telling you that.
I suggest you focus on producing a detailed business plan that will include your vision for were you see the company going. eg If your vision is too build a company with a view of selling in 5 years then the business plan should reflect exactly this.
Once you have done this then you will have a clear idea of what you need to grow your business and at that point you can approach various funders.
